Cognitive Behavioural Therapy27 septembre 2019Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) uses tried and tested methods to reduce anxiety, stress and negative thinking. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is one of the many modalities used by Anam Cara Therapy to support clients as they work to resolve the issues that brought them to counselling. Clients with self-esteem issues and anxiety particularly benefit from this psychotherapeutic approach which seeks to develop coping skills so that life can be lived more joyfully. Through CBT experiments, clients may conclude that they may have held irrational or faulty beliefs and seek to change their beliefs to fit the reality of the present moment. CBT and Mindfulness can complement each other in working through anxiety and both modalities are used quite often to nourish and support clients on their healing journey.
